A friend just told us about VEG ER for Pets, little did we know we would need their services soon. We came in with one of our beagles feeling unwell from one moment to the next. Walking into the office already made us feel incredibly welcome and eased our worries. The staff was incredible caring and went out of their way to make our pup feel better again. Best experience for bad circumstances.

My pup got a small laceration/puncture wound from another dog outside of my personal vet’s operating hours, so we went to Veg to get it cleaned appropriately, and for antibiotics. The staff were all wonderful. We weren’t there for a true emergency (which I was well aware of) so expected to be there for a while, but despite it being busy, we were in and out within 2 hours. I was very impressed with how staffed they were, how well everyone worked together, and how both the pet owners and pet patients were treated. After watching how the Veg staff dealt with what seemed like a true emergency that walked in while we were there, I would 100% come back for a minor injury like this again, or for something more serious. Being able to stay with my pup, and watching the other animals receive care accompanied by their owners made me super comfortable. Thanks for the great care and experience!

This past weekend, my 10 mo old puppy Luna was seen at VEG er Peabody for a paw injury. She had sustained an injury to her paw after an exterior door was blown shut on her foot. Our care team at VEG was amazing. This being our first emergency vet experience made it that much more nerve wracking but we felt so supported through this whole experience. Dr Rocket and Dr Halstein worked together to create a recovery plan and kept us in the loop throughout the whole process and surgery. Robin and Jacqueline and the other techs were so kind and helpful. We were offered snacks and drinks, put in an area where our dog felt comfortable as she was a bit anxious, and always checked on through out the night. It felt much more special, having the option to be more involved in the treatment process. The care team described what was going on with Luna to us as well as treatment options in great detail. We were always informed and knew what to expect to see(if we wanted to watch), what to expect to pay, how long to expect for the process, what to expect for the recovery process, etc. Much better experience than being put in a room alone, waiting for her to return, and then be handed a bill. Our dog is back to moving around as usual in just a few short days thanks to the amazing care she received from the team at VEG er! Would highly recommend this ER to others.

Can’t begin to express our gratitude to all the caring VEG ER staff and Dr. Coffey. Brought our frenchie in at 7am due to nonstop vomiting, and care was immediately provided. He had an ultrasound of his stomach done right in front of us, labs, etc, everything was explained, and all questions answered. As a thank you for the great care he thought he could help clean by projectile vomiting all the water he had in his tummy onto the floors🙈 Anyway, he was diagnosed with acute pancreatitis, but with meds and Rx food, he was back to his normal self in two days. We just brought him back today (week later) to pick up Rx and to say hi, he loved Pamela, the extra treats and goodie bag! While I don’t wish that anyone needs emergency vet care, this place is truly an invaluable service.

Excellent… Excellent…Excellent!! What a great find! Very few practices/ER’s treat exotics and VEG does. VEG in Peabody was wonderful. They provided the best care and were so quick and attentive. It is a great comfort to me now to know I can take any of my pets there 24/7!!

This pet ER is fantastic! All staff are engaged, compassionate, thorough, and efficient. They helped provide me all the information I needed to make a productive and cost effective decision after my fully flighted 6 yo parrotlet hit a wall 2x in 2 mins. To the team: diagnosis and treatment spot on! Ricola is less puffed, breathing more normal and recovering nicely with his birdie ibuprofen and his green cheek conure girlfriend's snuggles. THANK YOU for your incredible support!

What a phenomenal experience. I went in with my Newfoundland dog who was having an allergic reaction to something (first time visitor!) I was very worried about my girl. Everyone was amazing. They triaged her immediately and made us both feel very comfortable. They spent a lot of time taking her blood and doing a few other tests. The Doctor was very thorough in explaining everything to me. The whole time my dog stayed with me - including during tests - which I appreciated. Everyone was professional, kind, friendly. I highly recommend.

Our ‘very’ active year and a half old pup was running through the woods and hurt her dewclaw! It was a Sunday and our regular vet was closed. We do have a closer emergency vet, but they had a 2 to 3 hour wait, We thought we’d drive just a little bit further and go to VEG ER. Our compliments begin with our arrival, The nurse who checked us in was so kind and comforting, although a minor injury, there’s still a bit of panic when you love your dog! I noticed she was so friendly with everyone that came in the door. Everyone seemed very comfortable for an emergency room! Our second compliment would be the nurse, our dog was a bit nervous and shaking like a leaf, the nurse was so kind and gentle as she took our girls vitals. Our third compliment is to Dr. Stevie, she was fabulous, very knowledgeable and confident and knew exactly what to do and what the results would be! They had to knock our pup out to remove the dew claw and everything went exactally how they said! The weight was not bad at all, considering an emergency room! The entire staff was absolutely fabulous and We have an extremely high recommendation for this emergency room! Our pets are our love and priority…VEG ER Treated our girl as such! Thank Dr. Stevie and staff!!!

Brought in my little guy Kobe. Dr. Helstein and her staff were amazing. Everyone is so kind. I love how it's open so you can see what's going on. They let you stay with your pet and walk you through every step. I wouldn't take my boys to any other emergency vet, VEG is the best. Back again for my other dog Prince. Staff has always been kind and caring.

I had a great experience at VegER With Dr Coftey, Nurse Cheryl Reagan and Melissa. They are all compassionate and you can tell they love their jobs. They took their time to review and explain everything to me. I was able to stay with my Enzo during the entire process which was very comforting. I highly recommend. VegER
